| En el bosque de niebla del San Lorenzo cerca de Santa Marta, a 2050 ms sobre nivel del mar, fueron medidas temperatura y humedad relativa durante 24 horas. En el mismo lapso se registraron los cambios de peso en las hojas de dos especies de Monochaetum (Melastomataceae), causados por la precipitación de rocío. Se analizó la anatomía de las hojas, y se le discute en relación con la estructura de su cutícula, de los factores ambientales y de las variaciones de peso. Se refiere a la formación de características epifíticas en Melastomatáceas de suelo, en relación con otras especies de Monochaetum presentes en la región de la Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. |

| Thanks to this psychological study, stretched over a period of four years (1968-1972) on the algae population of the Le Dramont rocky coasts, we had the possibility to distinguish 19 different groups. Their apportionment and floristic composition have been consciously observed and studied, in summer as well as during spring, and this up to a depth of 45 m. A high number (35) of sections were done for that purpose, all over the work territory. Some of them are reproduced here (fig. 1, 2, 3, 4), with an indication of the placement of the different groups. Next, we compared our results with those of previous works, and we were able to conclude that the studied area is very analogue to the one of the J. Feldman study of the Albères Coast. |

| This study concerns mainly 2 species Merluccius capensis and M. paradoxus; M. polli is a more northern species though the 3 species are known to inhabit the same regions. The life cycle, seasonal migrations geographical distribution and fishing grounds of the 2 main species are discussed in detail. The intensity of fishing in this region, over the past 10 years has increased to such an extent that during 1968 -1970 this production accounted for one half level on a world-wide basis. Attempts have been made by Britain to market this fish as a frozen product. |

| A pesquisa foi realizada em áreas com pastos de idades diferentes, desde meses de idade (formação) ate 11 anos, tomando-se a área com floresta natural como elemento de comparação (testemunha). Foram coletadas amostras de solos de 0-20 cm em cada uma dessas áreas, alem da coleta de perfis pedagógicos ate a uma profundidade de 1,50 m. Apos a obtenção das analises no laboratório, constatou-se que vários nutrientes e índices ou valores, sofreram acréscimos quando o solo foi cultivado com pastagem, melhorando portanto, as suas propriedades químicas. Os elementos que mais se evidenciaram, foram: cálcio, magnésio, fosforo, alumínio, e os índices de pH, V (saturação de bases), S (soma de bases) e saturação de alumínio. | Se presentan datos sobre el comportamiento y la ecología de Phyllobates plamatus, una rana, la cual hasta el momento solamente ha sido encontrada en Colombia. la especie vive exclusivamente cerca del agua. Con frecuencia forma agrupaciones de muchos individuos en un área bien definida. Dentro de este viven en su mayoría en territorios individuales. Los machos prefieren puntos elevados de su territorio como lugar para sus cantos. | INTRODUCTION Distribution and ecology of hydroids from coral reefs of high islands and atolls of French Polynesia so far have received little attention. Redier (1967, 1971) published a preliminary list of 14 species from Salvat's collections, sampled during several trips to Tahiti, Tuamoto (Mururoa, Reao and Maturei Vavao Atolls), to the Australes Islands (Rapa) and to Gambier. The present paper results from researches carried out by one of us (P.V.) concerning the benthic bionomy of reef sciophilous communities of hard bottoms. | Se describen algunos aspectos de la biología de Oncideres bouchardii BATES as Santa MarTa, Colombia. Los adultos do esta especie de escarabajos podadorcs de ramas, aparecen después de la época de invierno, durante los meses de noviembre a febrero, podando ramas y ramitas de Trupillo, Prosopis jutiflora (L.) y Aromo, Acac/3 fumes/ana WILLD. Según las observaciones, la actividad de podar solamente la presentan las hembras, las cuales frecuentemente se encuíntran copulando con tos machos al mismo tiempo. Después de cortar con sus mandíbulas una estría (ranura profunda alrededor de la rama), la hembra prepara una cámara debajo de la corteza en la cual deposita un huevo. | Systematic and ecological remarks are presen ted on 14 species of shallow water holothurians of the northern coast of Colombia. The material was coilected from Islas del Rosario off the coast southwes: of Cartagena (10° 08' 39'' Lat. N" 75° 43' 21" Long. W) and from Tayrona National Park to the north east of Santa Marta (11° 20' Lat. N and 74° 05' Long. W). Ten species are new records to Colombia, one of them appeared to be undescribed as yet (Holothuria thomasi sp. nov. Pawson & Caycedo, in preparation). A key to these species is given. The occurrence of some species in abundance in differen: habitats is discussed in order to elucidate ecological interrelationships and facilitate field identificacion. |

| In this publication a revision is given of the genera of the subfamily Bulimulinae (Gastropoda, Pulmonata, Bulimulidae). The morphological variation of the shell, radula, pallial organs and genitalia is analized and 21 character transition series are recognized. In the systematical part the following data are presented for each genus : description of shell and anatomy, distribution, ecology, bibliography and a list of taxa. The number of (sub) genera is reduced from 80 to 43 ( + two nomina inquirenda). A new synonymy is : Paracochlea Hylton Scott, 1967 = Eudioptus Albers, 1860.
